Wilhelm and Fritz had two World Championships under their belts when they won the German Grand Prix and the Swiss Grand Prix. They also claimed two second place finishes -- he Ulster Grand Prix at Belfast and the Belgian Grand Prix. The team also won a third place at the Isle of Man TT. In all, the gentlemen from Kirchain, Germany were on the podium in all World Championship races in 1954 -- the first time a German team had taken the World Championship title. The duo retired from racing in 1956. This portrait shows them in Monza, Italy on September 12, 1954.
